|
1 UNTO thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks and call upon thy name. |
|
2 We will declare all thy wondrous works; then the time will come when I will judge uprightly. |
|
3 Then the earth and all the inhabitants thereof shall be humbled; thou hast ordained the people thereof. |
|
4 Thou saidst to the fools, Deal not foolishly, and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn; |
|
5 Lift not up your horn on high; speak not with a stiff neck. |
|
6 For defence comes neither from the west nor from the east nor from the desert mountains. |
|
7 But God is the judge; he puts clown one, and sets up another. |
|
8 For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, full of a mixture of the dregs of wine; and he passes it from one to another; surely all the wicked of the earth shall drink the dregs thereof. |
|
9 But I will live for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. |
|
10 All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted. |

2 Бог знаний у Юді, Його Йме́ння велике в Ізраїлі! |
|
3 У Сали́мі намет Його, а мешка́ння Його на Сіоні, — |
|
4 Він там полама́в стріли лу́ку, щита́ та меча, та війну́! Се́ла. |
|
5 Ти осяйни́й, потужніший за го́ри відві́чні. |
|
6 Обдерто людей сильносе́рдих, задріма́ли вони своїм сном, — і не знайшли своїх рук усі мужі військо́ві. |
|
7 Від сварі́ння Твого́, Боже Яковів, оглу́шується колесни́ця та кінь: |
|
8 Ти — Ти грізний, і хто перед обличчям Твоїм устоїть ча́су гніву Твого? |
|
9 Як звіщаєш Ти суд із небе́с, то боїться й стиха́є земля, |
|
10 як встає Бог на суд, щоб спасти́ всіх покі́рних землі! Се́ла. |
