3 And not only3440 so, but we glory2744 in tribulations2347 also:2532 knowing1492 that tribulation2347 works2716 patience;5281

5 And hope1680 makes2617 not ashamed;2617 because3754 the love26 of God2316 is shed1632 abroad1632 in our hearts2588 by the Holy40 Ghost4151 which3588 is given1325 to us.

6 For when we were yet2089 without772 strength,772 in due514 time2540 Christ5547 died599 for the ungodly.765

7 For scarcely3433 for a righteous1342 man will one5100 die:599 yet1063 peradventure5029 for a good18 man some5100 would even dare5111 to die.599

8 But God2316 commends4921 his love26 toward1519 us, in that, while we were yet2089 sinners,268 Christ5547 died599 for us.

9 Much4183 more3123 then,3767 being now3568 justified1344 by his blood,129 we shall be saved4982 from wrath3709 through1223 him.

10 For if,1487 when we were enemies,2190 we were reconciled2644 to God2316 by the death2288 of his Son,5207 much4183 more,3123 being reconciled,2644 we shall be saved4982 by his life.2222

11 And not only3440 so, but we also2532 joy2744 in God2316 through1223 our Lord2962 Jesus2424 Christ,5547 by whom3739 we have now3568 received2983 the atonement.2643

12 Why,1223 5124 as by one1520 man444 sin266 entered1525 into1519 the world,2889 and death2288 by sin;266 and so3779 death2288 passed1330 on all3956 men,444 for that all3956 have sinned:264

13 (For until891 the law3551 sin266 was in the world:2889 but sin266 is not imputed1677 when there is no3361 law.3551

14 Nevertheless235 death2288 reigned936 from Adam76 to Moses,3475 even2532 over1909 them that had not sinned264 after1909 the similitude3667 of Adam's76 transgression,3847 who3739 is the figure5179 of him that was to come.3195

15 But not as the offense,3900 so3779 also2532 is the free5486 gift.5486 For if1487 through the offense3900 of one1520 many4183 be dead,599 much4183 more3123 the grace5485 of God,2316 and the gift1431 by grace,5485 which3588 is by one1520 man, Jesus2424 Christ,5547 has abounded4052 to many.4183

16 And not as it was by one1520 that sinned,264 so is the gift:1434 for the judgment2917 was by one1520 to condemnation,2631 but the free5486 gift5486 is of many4183 offenses3900 to justification.1345

17 For if1487 by one1520 man's offense3900 death2288 reigned936 by one;1520 much4183 more3123 they which receive2983 abundance4050 of grace5485 and of the gift1431 of righteousness1343 shall reign936 in life2222 by one,1520 Jesus2424 Christ.5547)

18 Therefore686 3767 as by the offense3900 of one1520 judgment came on all3956 men444 to condemnation;2631 even2532 so3779 by the righteousness1345 of one1520 the free gift came on all3956 men444 to justification1347 of life.2222

19 For as by one1520 man's444 disobedience3876 many4183 were made2525 sinners,268 so3779 by the obedience5218 of one1520 shall many4183 be made2525 righteous.1342

20 Moreover1161 the law3551 entered,3922 that the offense3900 might abound.4121 But where3757 sin266 abounded,4121 grace5485 did much5248 more abound:5248

21 That as sin266 has reigned936 to death,2288 even2532 so3779 might grace5485 reign936 through1223 righteousness1343 to eternal166 life2222 by Jesus2424 Christ5547 our Lord.2962
